Hi there!

So, I'm AYK and for those of you who want to know what that stands for: have a good look around the site and you'll find out soon enough. I was born under Aquarius in 1957. Started this hobby while recovering from a severe operation. I got bored so I decided to join a doll-making class which was organized by the hospital I was in at that time. The first dolls were "ordinary" ones, about 12" high. But that all changed when I created my first mini-doll. I was sold. Very soon after that I started my first doll's house. From DelPrado, yes, so that house has been buried for years now. Never seen such poor quality! So I asked Marcel (husband & love of my life) to create one for me. I ended up with five boxes which could be put together to form a complete doll's house. Buried that one as well. Not that it was bad or something, but I don't have much room to place doll's houses ánd I thought that I could do better. That's yours to judge, by the way.

So from that time on Marcel makes the houses and boxes, as well as a whole lot of other doll's house atrributes.

Another hobby of mine are ceramics. I have my own oven, which enables me to create my own mini-bricks and -tiles. I'm still experimenting with that. If it turns out to be succesfull I might even consider starting selling them!

Some data here: all projects are scaled 1 : 12, with the exception of the Mice-house. Everything is hand-made by me, except for the lights and where indicated. If someone else was involved then that's mentioned. All dolls are made of Fimo and dressed up by me.
